Recreational Therapy Long Term Care Restorative Services: Increasing Facility Payment

Presenter: G.T. Thompson, M.Ed, CTRS

Learning Objectives:
1) Participants will be introduced to roles that Recreational Therapy can serve in delivering restorative care services.
2) Participants will learn the rules for delivering restorative services.
3) Participants will be provided on how restorative services delivered by a qualified recreational therapist can increase both medical assistance Medicare A payment.

Relaxation: It's Not Just for Stress Anymore

1) Participants will be able to identify several ways to set up reimbursement in a Mental Health and Rehabilitation settings.
2) Participants will learn why reimbursement is needed
3) Participants will understand the core elements of a reimbursable recreational therapy service, regardless of setting.

Treating the Adolescent in the Impatient Setting.

Learning Objective:
1) Participants will be able to identify key stages of adolescent development.
2) Participants will be able to identify issues related to treatment of the adolescent.
